Hornby Dublo Three Rail was introduced in 1938 to 1964, undoubtedly one of the finest railway systems to evolve on the United Kingdom, all the locos were made using die-cast bodies.

 The first train set was a N2 0-6-2 Tank Loco, some goods wagons and three rail track, which cost 17/6d in old money. All the locos and rolling stock were made at Meccano Limited, in Binns Road, Liverpool, 13.
